How do you cosPLAY?

There are many ways to be part of a con.....

-Some come to watch, lurk in the shadows, in their signature black t-shirt, faded jeans, and chucks.

-Some spends hundreds of hours constructing an exact replica costume from the ground up.

-Some wait until last minute and buy something that "will do" at the local costume shop.

-Some piece their costumes together from other pieces and parts of old costumes, found things, and some        newly aquired items.

I don't sew. Sometimes I really wish I did, but sadly......I have no patience for it. I'm an instant gratification kinda girl.

With that being said......this year, I'm going to be constructing a bit more than normal.

I'm working on a costume that is definitely taking a bit more patience than I'm used to. But, I'm hoping it will be well worth it.

Here's a sneak peek.......can you guess who I will be cosplaying next month?

Here's the beginning. And no....I would never build a corset from scratch. Eep! That scares me just to think about. I'd likely end up taking a baseball bat to the sewing machine. So, we saved the violence and went with an already constructed version.

More pictures to come soon. So make sure you check back. It's going to be.....shall I say.....Dangerous?! ;)

Now, I'm interested in seeing who you are portraying? Do tell!

Who is YOUR favorite female cosplay character?

Here are a couple of mine.....

P.S. Anyone who shows up to a con that I attend dressed as the Doctor will immediately win major bonus points! :)

Cheers,

  1. It takes a very brave woman that wear that white leathery outfit to a con. I bet she was popular. Wonder if she had armed guards?
